Kolhapur arrives in Bengaluru
Kolhapuri dishes are dominating at the Kolhapuri Food Festival at the fine-dine restaurant, Soul City in UB City, Bengaluru. The festival is going on from January 8, 2021 and will continue till January18, 2021.
Curated by Guest Chef Dev Kasalkar along with Executive Chef Altamsh Patel, Kolhapuri Food Festival is going on since January 8, 2021 and will continue till January18, 2021 at the fine-dine restaurant, Soul City in UB City mall, Bengaluru.
Commenting on the festival, Altamsh Patel, Executive Chef, Oakwood Premier Prestige said “Everyone in today’s world is talking about bringing International cuisine to our country. Being young chefs, I and Chef Dev feel it’s our responsibility to promote authentic local cuisines as well which people are slowly forgetting. This also gives a platform to chefs from different parts of the country to showcase their regional specialties and helps in cultural bonding.”
Chef Dev Kasalkar expressed, “The Bangalore crowd is very cosmopolitan, much like Mumbai. People here understand and appreciate cuisines, they’re open to experimenting. I’m sure Kolhapuri dishes would be liked here.”
The festival offers a plethora of non veg dishes like, Tambada, Pandhara Rassa, Bharla Wange, Mutton Kharda, and Chicken Lonche. Whereas, Sol Kadhi, Khuska Pulao, Ghavachi Huggi, Dakkhani missal and Pithle are available for the vegetarians.
