IHG Signs Crowne Plaza Amaravati

The 300 rooms hotel will be the first IHG hotel in the city and is expected to be operational by 2024.

INTERCONTINENTAL HOTELS Group (IHG) has signed a management agreement with Indroyal Hospitality Services Pvt Ltd for Crowne Plaza Amaravati. The 300 rooms hotel will be the first IHG hotel in the city and is expected to be operational by 2024.

Strategically located, Crowne Plaza Amaravati will be approximately three kilometres from the city centre, adjacent to various government offices and the business park zone, making it a perfect destination for business travellers and a great venue for MICE events. Along with well-appointed rooms, the hotel will feature 20,000 sqft of meeting space, a business centre, outdoor pool and a gymnasium. Additionally, featuring an all-day dining outlet, a speciality restaurant, a lobby lounge and bar, the hotel will offer guests a number of food and beverage options to choose from.

Connected to the major cities in India by land, rail and air through its neighbouring city of Vijaywada, Amaravati is expected to attract both domestic and international travellers.

IHG currently has 39 hotels operating across four brands in India, including InterContinental Hotels and Resorts, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express, and a strong pipeline of 39 hotels due to open in the next two-three years.
