IHG Hotels & Resorts colleagues celebrate annual Giving for Good month

To positively impact more than 3,12,000 people globally and contribute to their local communities

Colleagues of IHG Hotels & Resorts have taken the opportunity to give back and show thanks as part of the company’s annual Giving for Good month by collectively dedicating over 74,000 volunteering hours to communities, causes and charities. Positively impacting more than 3,12,000 people globally, colleagues found inspired and creative ways to make contributions to their local communities, including donating blood, delivering food parcels, and raising funds for local charities. With over 27,000 IHG colleagues participating, engagement in this year’s campaign was double that of last year.

“Giving back to our communities is woven into the fabric of IHG – it’s not only part of our history and our mission to shape the future of responsible travel, but also our purpose to deliver true hospitality for good. With hotels and colleagues spanning more than 100 countries, we’re proud to be at the heart of our communities and we recognise the unique opportunity our global reach brings in allowing us to make a positive impact. I’m humbled by the commitment to helping others that our colleagues have shown throughout Giving for Good month – going above and beyond in what are already challenging times to make an invaluable contribution towards our target of improving the lives of 30 million people by 2030,” said Keith Barr, Chief Executive Officer, IHG Hotels & Resorts.
