IHCL inks Taj property in Alwar

The new Taj branded hotel, slated to open in 2022, is a Greenfield project near the scenic Siliserh Lake surrounded by picturesque views of the Aravalli Mountain Range.

TATA GROUP’s hospitality arm - The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), has recently introduced its flagship brand Taj to Alwar in Rajasthan marking the company’s twelfth property in the state.

The new Taj branded hotel, slated to open in 2022, is a Greenfield project near the scenic Siliserh Lake surrounded by picturesque views of the Aravalli Mountain Range. The hotel will boast of 170 expansive rooms including 50 branded villas. With a host of dining options, large meeting and banqueting facilities, wellness areas and recreation zones, the hotel will be ideal for guests travelling for either business or leisure.

Commenting on the signing of this agreement, Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, IHCL said, “IHCL has a special relationship with the state of Rajasthan since 1970 when it started managing the landmark Taj Lake Palace, Udaipur and put Rajasthan on the global tourist map. With the addition of this Taj branded hotel, the Company opens up a new tourism circuit as the Alwar district is conveniently located with close proximity to New Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. We are delighted to partner with Vanista Nature Pvt. Ltd. for this hotel.”

Speaking about the partnership, Pradeep Deswal, Director, Saraan Exports Pvt. Ltd. and Vanista Nature Pvt. Ltd. said, “We are proud to partner with IHCL to develop this resort and look forward to providing guests with Taj’s legendary hospitality and service.”

Alwar, perhaps the oldest of the Rajasthani Kingdoms with its history dating back to the 11th century, its stark landscape is dotted with centuries-old forts, temples and villages. Sariska National Park, home to tigers, jaguars, Sambar deer and more, is a short drive away.
