IHCL HOSTED the first ever F&B Olympiad for its Hotels in Delhi-NCR on 24th & 25th July 2018 at Vivanta Dwarka with an objective to promote F&B camaraderie and to boost creativity and encourage learning. The two-day event was conceptualized to have 17 games and 13 knowledge sessions with 70 participants, 10 external food and beverage expert judges and 15 innovators sharing best practices and trends. Each hotel donned a different name for the competition and kick-started the engagement with selfies and training sessions.

One week ahead of the game, the Olympiad plaque travelled between each hotel to build the tempo. With teams prepping up for the competition and each hotel cheering their participants, the enthusiasm of each team member was remarkable.

Gaurav Pokhariyal, Senior Vice President – Operations, Delhi NCR and Rajasthan commented, “Food and Beverage quality and innovation have always been the epitome of our hospitality at IHCL. The efforts put in by the team and participants have been exemplary. We intend to replicate the event in the coming year and introduce many such platforms for our colleagues.”

Kanika Hasrat, General Manager, Vivanta Dwarka, said, “The prime objective of the F&B Olympiad was to promote Capability Building and Sincere Care amongst our associates and also give a platform where the team can have fun and at the same time learn more”.

The event finale was high on energy with hotels cheering their teams. Numero Uno (Taj Mahal, New Delhi) lifted the plaque whilst Delhi Dominators (Vivanta Dwarka) and Surajkund Avengers (Vivanta Surajkund) were first and second runner-up of the first ever IHCL Delhi-NCR Food and Beverage Olympiad.
