IHCL Debuts in Himachal Pradesh with Taj Theog Resort and Spa, Shimla

Spread across five acres, the hotel is company's first mountain resort, and the only one to be constructed at 8000 ft in India.

INDIAN HOTELS Company limited after a long wait has debuted in Himachal Pradesh with the launch of Taj Theog Resort & Spa, Shimla. The property has finally opened its door for the guests which was slated back in April 2018. Spread across five acres, the hotel is company's first mountain resort, and the only one to be constructed at 8000 ft in India.

The Taj Theog Resort & Spa, Shimla stands on a ridge 75 minutes from Shimla town, beyond Kufri and before Narkanda. The property features 99 rooms, which offers the view of snow-capped mountains.

Taj Theog’s design and architecture echo colonial charm reminiscent of hill station appeal. Surrounded by the Deodar forest, with pathways through apple orchards and terraced gardens, the resort is the quintessential luxurious home in the hills.

The dining options at the Taj Theog includes Tragopan, an all-day diner that offers local Pahari cuisine in addition to global cuisines; Peony, an oriental restaurant offers Sichuan and Cantonese cuisines and Theog Junction, dubbed as an ‘imaginative tribute to the classic narrow-gauge toy train that chugs from Kalka to Shimla’.

Besides an all-day dining restaurant, other amenities include a bar, Jiva spa, banqueting, conferencing and meeting facilities that will cater to resident and non-resident guest requirements and a temperature-controlled pool.
