Hyatt Place Vadodara celebrates Christmas tree lighting ceremony

With an aim to spread festive cheer, the hotel celebrated the occasion with students from Nilamber International School

Hyatt Place Vadodara ushered in the Christmas season festivities with Christmas tree lighting ceremony. This is the first grand celebration since the official launch of the property earlier this month.

Gopali Parikh, an entrepreneur and the owner of Nilamber International, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour, along with other luminaries and guests. With an aim to spread festive cheer, the hotel invited pre-schoolers from Nilamber International. The hotel followed strict Covid guidelines and protocols while organising the event to ensure safety and security of its guests and colleagues.

A 20-feet Christmas tree, a snowman, a giant gingerbread house with a pastry case housed inside, Christmas themed fireplace glass painting along with other holiday themed décor adorned the lobby of the hotel as it was transformed into a festive space to kickstart the year end celebrations.

“We are delighted to have our first grand celebration since the official opening of Hyatt Place Vadodara. We wish to be closer to our loved ones around festivities, and with this thought, we invited the students from Nilamber International School along with their parents to celebrate the Season of Giving as a family. We wanted to make our first event at the hotel memorable and share our joy with everyone. We are glad that the arrangements were appreciated by the guests, especially parents who were also immersed in the celebratory activities with their little ones,” said Sohaib Kidwai, General Manager, Hyatt Place Vadodara.

A spectacular display of seasonal delights was organised for the guests and children, including french fries, flavoured milk shakes, chocolate mousse, tea cakes, sandwiches along with tea, coffee and mocktails. The spirit of the festive theme came alive with the traditional caroling by the hotel staff and a live band. Along with the tree lighting ceremony, fun-filled activities were arranged for children which included a live magic show and Christmas themed temporary tattoo station for the children. A special cake mixing activity with fruits, berries and dried nuts was also organized for the kids.

The ceremony concluded with the kids writing out their wishes to Santa on a wish card and hanging it on the Christmas tree. The wish cards would then be handed over to the school who would distribute it to the respective parents of the children to get their favourite items in time for Christmas.
