Hema Hariramani Appointed as Hotel Manager at The Westin Mumbai Garden City

THE WESTIN Mumbai Garden City announced the appointment of Hema Hariramani as the new Hotel Manager. Hema Hariramani has had a long-standing career in the hospitality of over 18 years. In her new role, Hema is responsible for the seamless operational management of the hotel. Her expertise helps support the Heads of Departments, achieve and exceed their revenue and guest satisfaction targets.

With a professional yet friendly work ethic, she leads the team by example and ensures they deliver exceptional guest service. She promotes a teamwork environment with effective and clear communication amongst the associates.

Hema Hariramani began her career with Marriott in 2000 as a Sales Manager at the Marriott Executive Apartments. She was part of the pre-opening team and then moved on to being a pre-opening member of the Renaissance Mumbai Hotel and Convention Center. Eventually promoted as the Director of Sales, Hema successfully handled multiple segments in her stint and was instrumental in driving the Medical Segment to have Renaissance in their preferred list of hotels. She has also led the Sales & Marketing team at Courtyard by Marriott, Mumbai International Airport. Thereafter from January 2011 until April 2014, Hema was the Director of Sales & Marketing for the JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu.

A self-motivated, passionate hotelier and a dynamic individual striving for excellence in all spheres, Hema has been a recipient of a host of awards, which bear testimony to her hard work and superlative hotel skills. The Marriott Chairman’s Circle award in 2004 – an exclusive award, recognizing excellence within the Marriott Group, given to a core group of performers was bestowed on her. She has also received the Marriott Pinnacle Award in 2005, which is in recognition of consecutive achievement of the Chairman’s Circle award for 2 years - the first in the Asia Pacific Region from the Marriott Group to achieve the same. Accomplishing a great ramp up for The Courtyard by Marriott, Mumbai International Airport, and managing to successfully promote the business brand, led her to be awarded the Marriott Asia Pacific
