Gurugram has a Vibrant Market: Raj Rana

Country Inn and Suites by Carlson, Gurugram Udyog Vihar has rebranded to Radisson Gurugram Udyog Vihar. It is the first Radisson hotel in the millennium city of Gurugram.

COUNTRY INN and Suites by Carlson, Udyog Vihar has recently rebranded to Radisson Gurugram Udyog Vihar. The hotel has completely reinvented itself with 130 renovated rooms and suites and 70 newly constructed rooms. “This is actually a six-year-old property and was running as Country Inn and Suites brand, with the change in the ownership, we planned to refurbish and upgrade this property into an upscale hotel.” Said Kanchan Rizvi, General Manager, Radisson Gurugram Udyog Vihar.

“We are very hopeful and positive that this hotel will give a good response not only because of the change in the brand but also due the location which provides quick and easy access to International Airport, corporate, entertainment and shopping centres. We have always been in a good demand but Country Inn was surpassing corporate demands to this hotel,” Rizvi added.

Speaking about the Gurugram Market Raj Rana, Chief Executive officer, South Asia, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group said, “The city has a vibrant market as it’s a home to dozens of companies and has a stable market with a growing population base that wants to experiment, go out and eat which is very important for us because hotels are not only for staying,” he said.

Rana continued to add that the market in Gurugram is perfect for a hotel because not only the accommodation is being used but also the other hotel facilities are being used.

Elaborating about the future projects Rana said, “We have 85 operating properties in India and we expect to open another five to six hotels this year ending up to 90 plus hotels. In our pipeline, we have 140 hotels in India being in different stages of construction.”

“We are growing faster than most companies in secondary or tertiary markets because we have a clear strategy to grow into those markets. We are presently in 60 cities and 16 state capitals of India but we want to expand our footprints in all state capitals,” he said.
