Sanjiv Mazumdar who has recently been appointed as the General Manager at Cygnett Park Di-Arch, Lucknow spoke to BW Hotelier. “The hotel market landscape in Lucknow is primarily driven by corporate demand and will remain so over the next few years. This is a good sign for the city since it can be looked at the destination for holding large city wide conferences, events and can cater big social events as well,” he says.

Selling into a greater number of markets can increase our customer base and spread our brand image across the places,” Mazumdar stated.

Speaking about his plans with the new hotel, Mazumdar said, “Health Club & Spa, Kebab Sutra- Roof Top Restaurant and a Lounge are under pipeline which will be opened shortly. Two banquet halls and Eight Meeting Rooms can cater to any nature of events be it social gatherings, corporate events, luncheon meetings, training sessions and conferences from 20 to 600 + guests.”

Mazumdar feels that the 62 well-appointed rooms in a contemporary colour scheme and provided amenities suits to the needs of the modern day traveller. Mentioning about his ideas towards the employee retention he says, “At Cygnett hotels we recruit team members, not employees. We have dedicated cell that monitors employee’s satisfaction and always emphasis on regular appraisals/promotions and acknowledge the guest appreciation to staff members are always acknowledge in our schedule Town Hall meet.”
