Get presidential treatment with ‘The Buffet of Unity’ at Edesia, Crowne Plaza Today New Delhi Okhla

Offering the taste of cuisines served at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, the chefs will recreate the Rashtrapati Bhavan special ‘Dal Raisina’ in addition to the plethora of culinary delights this Republic Day.

Edesia, Crowne Plaza Today New Delhi Okhla will be offering a variety of regional dishes this Republic Day. The buffet will also feature 'Dal Raisina,' a unique preparation available at Rashtrapati Bhavan on January 26, 2021 from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm. 

Sumit Sinha, Director of Food & Beverage, Crowne Plaza Today New Delhi Okhla said, “Dal Raisina is a unique dish made from the combination of black lentils (urad dal) and tomato puree & flavoured with saffron. This dish takes almost 48 hours to cook. The dal's secret ingredient is Kasuri methi leaves, which along with ‘garam masala’ gives the humble dal a distinct flavour. It has a very velvety texture and mild flavour and finds an indispensable place in all official functions hosted by the president. Our culinary team will attempt to recreate the same magic for our patrons this Republic Day!”

The menu has a range of regional culinary offerings from different parts of India including, Chat (Delhi), Pao Bhaji (Maharashtra), Kashmiri Murgh Tikka (Jammu & Kashmir), Curry leaves Fish Fry (Kerala), Zafrani Tandoori Paneer (Hyderabad), Pudina Matar Tikki (utter Pradesh), Kharode ka shorba (Delhi), Chicken Chettinad (Tamil Nadu), Dal- Bati(Rajasthan), Aloo ka Chukka (Bihar), Sarson ka Saag (Punjab), Paneer Matar Makhana (Haryana), Andhra Sofiyani Biryani (Andhra Pradesh), Tudkia Bhat (Himachal), Gatte ka Pulao (Rajasthan), Daal Moradabad (Uttar Pradesh), etc.
