BEYOND DESIGNS in collaboration with Varun Gupta launches their first Café on MG Road, Delhi and has opened its doors for the guests. The Café is located just off the busting Mehrauli Gurgaon road, a treat for all design connoisseurs. Varun Gupta is a professional Hotel Management degree holder coupled with his global exposure at Taj Group of Hotels, Devyani International Limited, Compass Group and Whassan COO. Being his first venture, through Café We Gupta aims to change the definition of a Café.

Gupta strongly believes that 'simplicity is forever'. Stick to basics and you would never go wrong, that’s the mantra he follows. “We never wanted to have a café with loud music and with a lot of people buzzing around. We wanted to offer privacy, space and elite cuisine. Amalgamation of a designer store with café is never heard off. We wanted to showcase the experience of fine dining in a café format. Most people have been waiting for this kind of place to come in,” he said at the official launch.

Café We which took six to eight months to start its operations is Inspired by the quintessential French style, combined with modern features. The Café has large French windows in black, while inlaid floor lines the entrance. This gives way to the main dining area with a charcoal floor and plenty of wooden panelling giving that gothic sophisticated look.

Sticking to the basics, the cuisines of the café offers very limited yet distinguished combinations. The Pesto Chicken Pasta, a variety of Salads, Tomato Beet Consommé Soup, and Deconstructed Apple & Black Currant Pie are some of the offerings. Gupta, who has conceptualised the whole menu, makes sure that the prices in the menu don’t dig a hole in the pocket.
