Courtyard by Marriott Chennai Appoints Jacob Justin as Head Chef

Justin comes to the job with 5 years of experince in the food and hospitality industry having worked in the likes of Sheraton Creek Dubai, Courtyard by Marriott Ahmedabad, Raddison Blu, AVASA Hotels Madhpur Hyderabad and Raintree Hotels, Annasalai.

COURTYARD BY Marriott, Chennai appoints
Jacob Justin as the Head Chef. In his new role Chef Justin will be responsible
of overseeing Courtyard by Marriott Chennai’s dining venues – Paprika Cafe and
Rhapsody, room service, catering and culinary events as well as further
enhancing the hotel’s celebrated culinary offerings. 


Speaking about the appointment, Prakash
Jayadevan, GM, Courtyard by Marriott Chennai, said “We are delighted to welcome
Chef Justin to Courtyard by Marriott Chennai and we are confident that his
expertise, impressive level of talent and enthusiasm will help heighten the
hotel’s diverse dining offering to a new level of excellence for our guests.”


With over 15 years of experience in the
Food and Hospitality industry, he brings to the table high quality service,
strong culinary and administrative skills. A reliable leader and enthusiastic
team member, he  began his culinary
journey with Park Hotels in 2002 and went on to work with  Sheraton Creek Dubai, Courtyard by Marriott
Ahmedabad, Radisson Blu, AVASA Hotels Madhapur Hyderabad and Raintree Hotels,
Annasalai.


With an extensive knowledge in all aspects
of food preparation and service he is also a specialist in Pastry and
Confectionery products. He has won several accolades at reputed culinary
competitions including a silver medal for Buffet and Dessert category in IFCA
culinary competition 2014. He strongly believes that when the employees are
well taken care of, they take care of the customers better and that is a direct
reflection on how the customers view us. 
He brings innovation into his menu by amalgamating traditional and
modern culinary trends.
