Zulal Wellness Resort, Qatar is about to launch a complete family wellness concept in early 2021 to provide wholistic and lasting transformation of mind, body, and spirit.

Chiva-Som extended its family wellness concept in Qatar with Zulal Wellness Resort's introduction by Chiva-Som, which is scheduled to open  in early 2021.  

Chiva-Som believes that wellness is for everyone. Continuing that motto, the retreat will provide state-of-the-art facilities to adults and children alike. This will be achieved by introducing new practices based on Traditional Arabic and Islamic Medicine (TAIM).

The resort will function across two distinct areas: 'Zulal Discovery' and 'Zulal Serenity'. The dedicated family 'Zulal Discovery' will offer 120 guestrooms and suites to cater to a modern family's needs. The resort provides interconnected rooms to age-appropriate facilities, including connecting rooms, one- to three-bedroom villas, nursery studios, children's dance studio, family treatment rooms, and a Family Wellness Centre.

Zulal's Family Wellness Centre, 'Knooz Al Sahraa', translating to 'Treasures of the Desert', is dedicated to children's holistic development and the importance of family connection. An innovative and expertly tailored range of fun, interactive activities will encourage younger guests to engage with and explore good lifestyle habits, giving them the best possible foundations to grow on.

 Activities in education, sports, creativity, and nutrition have been curated, keeping desert animals' characteristics, as metaphors for playfully developing essential life skills.

Strengthening familial bonds, spaces such as the 'Falcon Studio' provide curated experiences and activities to rekindle growth as a family unit.

The Oryx Workshop, facilitates exercises, such as dancing, and provides opportunities to learn about herbs and local cooking methods. The Fox's Den is another feature of this resort, designed to build cognitive development through physical, brain training exercises and focussing on creativity through arts and crafts.

Offering a holistic approach to health and wellness while honouring wellbeing principles rooted in Arabic healing traditions. The spa menu will have over 400 treatments, focusing on mental, physical, and nutritional wellbeing.

Designed for children and their families, the resort's Nurture Kinder programme focuses on developing free expression, creativity, and exploring physical movement. The programme also promotes learning the importance of healthy eating at a young age.

The Hedgehog Nursery will transfer new skills to children, with a dedicated rest area, soft spaces, and play stations where they will be encouraged to explore at their own pace.

A Junior Retreat for young children provides aspiring chefs' culinary activities, health and wellness therapies like Reiki, head and shoulder massage, and mindfulness and breathing meditation.
