WITH MORE than 20 years of experience in the luxury hospitality industry, Ashish Kumar Rai has been appointed as the General Manager of The Leela Ambience Convention Hotel, Delhi. Born in New Delhi, Ashish holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Delhi University and a Diploma from The Institute of Hotel Management, PUSA, New Delhi, before joining the Leela Palace Hotels and Resorts as Management Trainee in 1998. He has also done Executive Management program from S.P. Jain Institute of Management, Mumbai and professional courses in Hospitality and Finance from the Cornell University, USA.

Ashish is an avid traveler and takes keen interest in history and culture. In his leisure time, he enjoys playing tennis, squash and cricket and ardently follows Polo.
