Anthony Huang Appointed as Executive Chef at Sheraton Grand Bangalore Hotel, Brigade Gateway

Having started his career in the late 90s, he witnessed the evolution of food the city witnessed over the last two decades. The exposure and learning he observed all these years enabled him to experiment and curate signature dishes that established him as a name to reckon with in the industry.

SHERATON GRAND Bangalore Hotel at Brigade Gateway announced the appointment of Anthony Huang as Executive Chef. A veteran in the culinary space, Chef Anthony has consistently set industry benchmarks to high standards of fine dining in India. 

Having started his career in the late 90s, he witnessed the evolution of food the city witnessed over the last two decades. The exposure and learning he observed all these years enabled him to experiment and curate signature dishes that established him as a name to reckon with in the industry.

Born into a family of Chefs, cooking came naturally to him. The passion for gastronomy was inculcated in him from a very young age, which came to the fore as he grew up. A seasoned professional, he has amassed a gamut of knowledge and experience from his 21 years in the hospitality industry that translates into innovative and creative cooking. His culinary journey started in the year 1996 when he became a Senior Kitchen Executive at The Oberoi, New Delhi. He later moved to Hilton Towers, Mumbai as Senior Sous Chef where he held a pivotal role to open India’s first South East Asian Restaurant “India Jones”.

Chef Anthony successfully has completed various training programs in relation to time management, team building, staff motivation and customer service. He has won many accolades and awards; one among the many is the prestigious award “Continent Chef of the Year”.

Chef Anthony expressed “I am very happy to join the family of Sheraton Grand Bangalore Hotel at Brigade Gateway. It gives me a great platform to put my gastronomical skills to use and an opportunity to complement my cooking skills in line with international food standards the hotel is known for. I am excited to take up this new challenge and work with the new team here to keep the magic going on in the Sheraton kitchen”.

On Chef Anthony’s joining, Sujeet Kumar, General Manager expressed “We are very excited to have Chef Anthony on board, which is bound to give a great boost to the team of chefs we have at the property. Chef Anthony will lead our culinary department and we are eager to see him cook up a storm in the kitchen”.

Chef Anthony holds Masters Certificate in Hospitality Management from Cornell University and TAP Series Food Safety Managers Course from American Culinary Federation along with a Degree in Hotel Management from Christ College, Bangalore. His love for plants and travel are two other passions that keep him occupied when not at work.
