Andreas Streiber Appointed New General Manager of Shangri-la Bengaluru

Streiber, a native of Germany, has over 32 years of experience in the industry. He has spent the last 10 years in senior management positions at several reputed international companies around the world.

Hotel, Bengaluru announces the appointment of Andreas Streiber as its new
General Manager.


Andreas Streiber, a native of Germany, brings with him over 32 years of
hospitality, operational and management experience and has spent the last 10
years in senior management positions at several reputed international companies
around the world such as Europe, North America, South East Asia and China. 


“Since
its opening few months ago in Bengaluru, Shangri-La has become one of the
city’s most luxurious hotels. I am excited to join the hotel and look forward
to leading the exceptional team, and to welcoming guests to experience the
incredible culture Bengaluru has to offer,” , said Streiber. 


A
seasoned hotelier Streiber previously served as opening General Manager
Shangri-La Hotel, Qinhuangdao from 2014 to 2016. He joined the Shangri-La
Hotels and Resorts group as director of food and beverage at Shangri-La Hotel,
Hangzhou in 2002 and ever since there has been no stopping him. He has worked
with six Shangri-La group properties in Asia – Shangri-La Hotel, Hangzhou;
Shangri-La Hotel, Surabaya; Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta; Shangri-La Hotel,
Chengdu; Golden Flower Hotel, Xian and Shangri-La Hotel, Changchun.


Streiber was appointed as the General Manager at Shangri-La Hotel, Changchun in
the year 2012. The hotel under the leadership of Mr. Streiber has the following
accolades, coined “Top 125 Asia Hotels” by the readers of Condé Nast Traveler,
and one of the “Top 100 China Hotels” by the readers of Travel + Leisure for
four consecutive years.  It has been awarded
the title of “Best Business Hotel” in Changchun by the readers of Business
Traveller for seven consecutive years.
