AirAsia India Launched Food Truck to Publicize its Meals

Put together by Taj Sats Air Caterer, AirAsia India offers its guests, world-class food and beverage on-board at pocket-friendly prices in its menu, ‘Santan’! This first-of-its-kind endeavour by AirAsia India aims to take the airline’s in-flight menu offerings to the streets of Bengaluru for a limited period.

Guests enjoy the offerings at the "Santan - Flavours on Wheels" lauched by AirAsia India in Bengaluru recently.

AIRASIA INDIA launched "Santan - Flavours on Wheels", an event intending to offer the airline’s wide range of in-flight meals to the people of Bengaluru. The food truck initiative began on November 20 2016 in Whitefield. It all started with a fun evening with Danish Sait, Entertainer in the presence of Amar Abrol, CEO of AirAsia India and several stars from the airline. The event was attended by food connoisseurs, bloggers and food lovers with a particularly discerning palate!

This first-of-its-kind endeavour by AirAsia India aims to take the airline’s in-flight menu offerings to the streets of Bengaluru for a limited period.

This latest food menu with new pricing of Rs 189/- for Pre-Book meals on www.airasia.com, makes it a treat on the pocket and the palate as well, both up in the skies and on-ground! An AirAsia-branded food truck will go around the city over the next one month, serving some of the delectable pre-book meal offerings in the Santan menu along with a complimentary beverage. Danish Sait and his famous alter egos will be engaging the guests that visit the food truck of AirAsia India on a few days through the next one month.

On the occasion, Amar Abrol, CEO, AirAsia India said, “We love great food as much as our guests do. So aside from our on-time flights and award-winning service, our aim is to provide our guests with delicious food as well to make their travel a holistic experience. This new menu, created with immense care and passion, covers classics like Hyderabadi Veg Biryani to our own originals such as Masala Omelette with Chicken Nuggets and Parsley Potatoes and Exotic Mexican Vegetable Steak with Mushroom Cream Sauce. We not only have something on the menu for everyone, we have something that will delight everyone.”

“Through ‘Santan – Flavours on Wheels’ we want to demonstrate to Bengaluru that our food can speak a million words for us. We want to take to the people of this great city, one part of our offering – warm and tasty food”, he concluded.

This food truck will begin touring Bengaluru from Monday, the 21st Nov 2016 and will go around until 15th December 2016. During this time, it will be stationed at key locations all across the city. AirAsia India currently flies to 11 destinations with its two hubs in Bengaluru & New Delhi covering Chandigarh, Jaipur, Guwahati, Imphal, Pune, Goa, Vizag, Kochi and Hyderabad.
