AHAR meets Sharad Pawar to discuss the restarting of city restaurants

NCP Chief, Sharad Pawar has assured the association of a positive announcement soon from the State Govt.

The Indian Hotel and Restaurant Association (AHAR), the apex body of the industry meets NCP Chief, Sharad Pawar to discuss the issues being faced by the city restaurants and bars because of the pandemic induced lockdown and related restrictions. Pawar later spoke with Chief Minister on the issues and how the Government can support them to get back on track.

Post the meeting, Shivanand Shetty, President, AHAR said, “Shri Sharad Pawarji has been always supportive of our causes and in today’s meeting patiently heard the plight of the industry put across by AHAR. He later spoke with the Hon’ble Chief Minister on this and assured that there will be announcement soon which would be positive for the already pandemic battered industry. So, we eagerly look forward to this announcement as not only restaurants owners but even the staff and allied sectors have been badly hit by the lockdown.”

AHAR has always stood by the Government in its fight against the pandemic. They have been adhering to all the SOPs and guidelines issued by the authorities, but the lockdown and restrictions has devastated the industry extensively. As a result, it has become difficult to restart things without any support from the Government.
