'We Are Planning to Launch Six to Eight Properties in One Year'

Vimal Singh, MD, Golden Tulip Hotels and Resorts, South Asia, spoke with BW Hotelier about the company's plans of expansion in the country while announcing the pre-launch of their hotel in Gurugram.

GOLDEN TULIP Suites is opening its door in the corporate hub of Gurugram. It is a part of the international hospitality chain – Louvre Hotels Group, a part of Jin Jiang International Holdings group launched in 2007 in India. The hotel is designed keeping in mind the requirement of long staying guests and families; it vaunts 74 Executive suites and 106 rooms. The hotel is strategically located in Gwal Pahari, green lush area of Gurugram opposite TERI Golf Course and is in close proximity and easy connectivity to Delhi, Gurugram and Faridabad.

For the guests travelling for work or leisure, the hotel offers amenities such as outdoor pool and gym. For those wanting to have a good grab on food, one can choose from an all-day dining multi-cuisine restaurant Branche, barbeque at the deck -The Grill, contemporarily designed lounge bar at Branche Bar- and  in-house bakery that serves coffee and bakery assortments The Deli.

“Currently in India we are planning to launch six to eight properties in one year. In addition to this we are planning to introduce 3 more brands in India – Première Classe, a limited-service budget hotel that focuses on comfort, connectivity and convenience. Campanile and Kyriad are the other mid-market brand that we will bring to the South Asia region soon” Added Singh. Talking about the Golden Tulip Suites Gurgaon, it is conveniently situated just meters away from an express motorway, connecting visitors with New Delhi and Faridabad.

Presently Tulip Hotels South Asia has 24 properties all over the country. “The hotel industry in India is going through resurgence now, our occupancies are improving and so is our RevPar. Though as of now the rates have not increased in the manner that we would like to see, but we are fairly optimistic about the average rate to improve in the near future. The leisure markets are performing much better than the corporate. The Indian traveller is out for family vacations, weekend getaways and long weekends; it’s going to be a good time for hospitality business in the near future.” Singh concluded.
