'Mei Kun' at The Leela Ambience Convention Hotel introduces new menu

Mei Kun’s exquisite Pan-Asian menu serves Thai, Japanese and Chinese cuisines. These dishes have been created with a unique twist, innovative techniques coupled with freshly- sourced ingredients.

The Leela Ambience Convention Hotel recently launched their new menu at their Pan-Asian restaurant, Mei Kun. Re-commencing with a new Pan-Asian menu, the luxury dining restaurant will offer Thai, Japanese and Chinese cuisines.

Helmed by Rahul Gautam, Director Food and Beverage, The Leela Ambience Convention Hotel, Mei Kun offers thoughtfully curated menu to the distinctive decor that exudes a zen vibe. Upon arrival, diners are welcomed to the sight of an auspicious koi pond that symbolizes good fortune, with its colorful carp transforming the foyer into a harmonious landscape. The interiors have been designed to create an elegant and opulent space to unwind over exquisite cocktails and gourmet fare. Hidden behind an inconspicuous patterned screen, the PDR boasts of a sophisticated intimacy that befits special gatherings and celebrations. Frangipani trees surrounding the restaurant create a more soothing and relaxed space that also make for a picture-perfect lounge setup. Talking about the menu, Chef Binod Kotiyal said, “Mei Kun means a beautiful universe in Mandarin and it is our endeavour to showcase that through our new menu with delicacies that present a myriad of contrasting flavours, colours and textures. Flavourful Thai, Japanese and Chinese dishes have been created with a unique twist, innovative techniques coupled with high quality ingredients. Our team’s Ikigai shines through each aspect of the restaurant and their commitment to impeccable hospitality.”
The new menu by Chef Binod Kotiyal uses freshly- sourced ingredients to prepare food in his inventive culinary style. The restaurant has a live kitchen as well. Signature dishes available here include the Chef’s take on Crispy Lotus Stem coated with Oats, Okra and Corn, Chong Qing Chilli Chicken, Crispy Squid and more. Main course comprises delectable dishes such as Thai Green Curry, Chicken in Teriyaki Sauce and Cantonese Prawns amongst a host of others. Complementing the dishes are ambrosial ingredient-based cocktails such as Marcus-a mix of whisky, spiced earl grey tea, pineapple & kaffir lime and a zesty Purple Flight-vodka blended with litchi and lavender. The dessert menu offers Sago Pudding, Fried Coconut Ice Cream, Matcha Cheesecake and more. 

The hotel is following all safety protocols under the initiative 'Suraksha by The Leela’, a program built in partnership with Bureau Veritas India.
