'Give with Oakwood' returns for a second edition

This year, Oakwood Premier Prestige Bangalore has joined hands with Navachethana, a Non-Governmental organization, focused to uplift the lives of specially challenged children and aid in their social inclusion.

Oakwood Premier Prestige Bangalore launches the second edition of ‘Give with Oakwood’ - a global campaign designed to spread kindness and compassion to the vulnerable members of the society. Following up on last year’s inaugural campaign, the two-month long initiative will make a contribution towards the community with every reservation made at the property.

"These are trying times and we want to lend a helping hand to the less privileged. Navachethana is doing some exceptionally good work and we wanted to support their cause helping differently abled children with the basic requirement of 2 meals a day with our 'Give with Oakwood' campaign," said Wajeed Bagwan, GM, Oakwood Premier Prestige Bangalore.

The second edition launched on 19th July will extend to 30th September 2021 and will see 58 properties across the United States, and the Asia Pacific contributing a staple, rice to local communities, charity organisations and food banks with every direct reservation received.

During the height of the pandemic in 2020, the inaugural campaign 'Give with Oakwood' contributed over 11,000 kg of rice for 67,059 beneficiaries in Asia. Give with Oakwood will culminate in global community events and delivery of rice to beneficiaries at each Oakwood destination in conjunction with World Food Day 2021 in October 2021.
